Germany is the biggest country in Central Europe (352 022 km²) with population of 82 220 000 people. The capital city is Berlin and the official language is German. The country is surrounded by France, Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, Baltic Sea, Denmark, North Sea, The Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. Also, Germany is one of the 27 countries in European Union since 1 January 1958.
